When viewing pending tasks in Fracttal One, you may notice that some still show values in the "Delayed" column, even after being rescheduled with a new due date.
This happens because the value displayed in the "Delayed" column is not based on the new due date, but rather on the original calculated date. This date remains fixed since the creation of the task and is used as a basis to measure whether the execution is within the originally intended timeframe.
Understanding dates in Fracttal One
Fracttal One manages two key dates per task: the calculated date and the due date. The calculation of the overdue status is always based on the calculated date, which corresponds to the original date of the process. Even if the due date is modified, it does not influence the overdue calculation.
1. Calculated Date
The calculated date is the original date generated by the system when the task was created. This date is fixed and does not change, even if the task is rescheduled. The calculated date is used as a reference to calculate the overdue status of the task and is considered the basis for determining whether a task is within its original timeframe or if it is overdue.
2. Due Date
The due date is the new date assigned to the task when it is rescheduled. This modified execution date reflects the new work plan for the work order, but does not affect the overdue calculation, which continues to be based on the calculated date.
Notes:
Traceability: The calculated date ensures that the traceability of the original task scheduling is maintained, which is essential for tracking and controlling deadlines in the system.
Rescheduling and overdue status: Rescheduling a task adjusts the due date, but the overdue status continues to be calculated based on the calculated date.
Although rescheduling a task changes the due date, the system always considers the calculated date to calculate the overdue status, which may cause the task to appear as overdue even if the new due date is in the future.
