Fracttal One allows you to manually access offline mode from the mobile app. This feature is designed to help you continue your tasks even in low-connectivity areas, without having to enable airplane mode or completely disconnect from the internet.
With this option, you can manage your Work Orders (WO) with confidence, without worrying about losing information due to possible desynchronization between the app and the web.
Preparation before working offline
Check your connection before going on site
- Before enabling offline mode, make sure you have a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) of at least 50 Mbps to download and update your assigned WOs, tasks, and assets.
Synchronize the most recent information
- Avoid synchronizing the WO over an unstable connection. Do not use other apps and keep Fracttal One open in the foreground until synchronization is complete.
Check available space on your device
- Ensure your device has enough internal storage. Images, comments, or files recorded offline will be saved locally until they are uploaded to the server.
Keep the app updated
- Make sure you are using the latest version of Fracttal One, as updates include improvements in performance and offline synchronization.
Avoid logging out before disconnecting
- If you log out while offline, you may temporarily lose access to downloaded data. Keep your session active until you’re back online.
What to do if an issue occurs?
| Situation | Probable cause | Recommended solution |
|---|---|---|
| WOs not appearing offline | Not synchronized before disconnecting | Connect and press Synchronize before exiting |
| Changes not synchronized | Weak or interrupted connection | Retry with a stable connection |
| Photos not saved | Lack of storage, forced closure, or interference from other apps | Free up space and avoid closing the app until all content is uploaded |
| Duplicate data | Simultaneous editing offline and online | Review which version to keep and report to support |
To access the offline mode manually, follow these steps:
1. Enter the main menu of the mobile app.
2. Enter the Tasks > Work Orders module.
3. Select the TO you want to work in Offline mode.
4. Click on "Download Offline".
5. Then, it will start downloading all the information from the selected TO to our mobile device momentarily (while working offline).
6. Additionally, it will ask us if we want to download the attached files.
7. Once the offline version has been downloaded from the TO we are going to work with, we must go to the main menu and click on the following icon as follows
8. We confirm.
9. Then we get an affirmation message
10. Once you are in offline mode, access the corresponding Work Order (WO) and complete the assigned tasks. Once you have completed these tasks, return to the start of the task. At this point, the system will ask for your confirmation to send the WO for review. At this stage, the WO can be reviewed, signed and accepted as usual.
11. Once the OT is finished and at the same time we have an internet connection, we go back to the main menu and click on the offline icon.
12. Then click on ok.
Once you confirm the action, an image will be displayed that will include the Folio corresponding to your Work Order (WO), accompanied by the message "Successfully synchronized".
