How to add a map?
The inclusion of a new map in the system is done through the Add (+) icon, located in the lower right corner of the interface.
A new configuration window will appear in which the user must complete the necessary fields with the relevant information about the map to be added.
The required fields for creating a map are as follows:
Description: Field intended for recording the name or identification of the map.
Group 1 and Group 2: Free text fields, configurable according to the user's specific categorization needs.
Image: Field dedicated to attaching the image file of the map (plan or layout). To upload, click on the "Drag or click to browse" option, which will open a dialog box for selecting or dragging the desired image file.
Finally, after completing all required fields to register the map, click on the save option to finish the process.
Adding Markers: Asset Identification
Markers are graphic elements used to position and identify specific assets (previously registered in the asset catalog) within a map or layout.
Access the desired map by clicking on it in the main maps interface.
After selection, a new window will open presenting the map. In this view, the user can adjust the zoom level (zoom in or out) of the image as needed.
To start adding a marker, click the Add Marker button.
When clicking on add marker, a new window will appear. There, you must complete the relevant information about the marker you want to add to the map before positioning it on the layout.
The required fields for marker configuration are:
Asset: Allows selecting the specific asset from the catalog that will be associated and located with this marker on the map.
Type: Offers the possibility to choose among four different marker types to visually categorize the asset.
Note: Optional field to add additional information or relevant comments to the marker.
Link to another map: Allows linking this marker to another map previously created in the system.
Once all required fields are completed, click on the save option to finalize the marker configuration process.
Finally, after clicking save, the cursor on the screen will change to a (+) indicator. The user should click on the desired location within the map to fix the final position of the marker.
Once the markers are implemented on a map, it is possible to directly access the detailed record of the associated equipment simply by clicking on the corresponding marker.
