The Advanced Warehouses addon is a Fracttal One complement that expands the capabilities of the Warehouses module. When activated, your company gains additional configuration options per warehouse, the ability to generate automatic outputs from a material requisition, and access to the Material Requests module.
1) Extra options in the general configuration:
Fracttal One includes three additional checkboxes that appear when creating or opening a warehouse. Each enables a different behavior for that warehouse:
Allow negative stock.
Approval request for created material requisitions.
Approval and rejection request for transfer entries.
Allow negative stock:
When enabled, Fracttal One allows you to make material outputs without requiring the requested quantity to be in stock. Without this option enabled, any attempt to output without sufficient stock shows the message "Insufficient stock in the Warehouse" and blocks the operation.
Approval request for created material requisitions:
Fracttal One requires manual approval before allowing material output associated with a work order. Each created material requisition remains pending until you approve it.
By clicking that toggle, an option will open where the user approving the requisition is identified, and there is the possibility to enter a comment about the approval. This way, when pressing the save button, the requisition will be finally approved, and the material output process can continue:
Approval and rejection request for transfer entries:
This allows you to approve or reject material entries arriving via transfer between warehouses before they are registered in the receiving warehouse.
2) Automatically output a material requisition
A function is made available in the "Dispatcher" module, with which we can automatically make warehouse outputs upon receiving a requisition. To do this, we will enter the main menu located at the upper left.
- Open the main menu, select Dispatcher, and click on Events.
Click the (+) symbol that appears at the bottom right to create a new rule.
This way, we can configure our automation rules in the three corresponding tabs:
In them, we will select the “Module,” “Submodule,” and “Event” to use for our rule; in the case of automatic output, we will proceed as follows:
Module: Warehouses
Submodule: Material Requisitions
Event: New Material Requisition
Event Description
Next, rule conditions should be added if necessary:
In the rule actions, an additional option called “Generate Warehouse output automatically” is added. You must select it and designate the person responsible for the output to finalize the creation of the automatic requisition output.
3) Purchase Requests
This addon allows us to enable the “Purchase Requests” function, through which we can generate these requests that can later be used for purchase orders.
